    Why would they band oysters?

    Do they migrate?

Would you put an oyster band on your lanyard?

The Elites don't fear the tall nails, government possesses both the will and the means to crush those folks. What the Elites do fear (or should fear) are the quiet men and women, with low profiles, hard hearts, long memories, and detailed target folders for action as they choose.

Still ongoing-- it is fact that if they are put on the endangered species list that humans are not allowed to enter their habitat or disturb surroundings-- SOOOOOOO does that mean no boats in the water creating a wake? No flounder fishing over the beds, no Spot tail fishing-- I think I will cry now. BWHAHAAHH You do the math.

Ban (banned) vs. Band Proof that Retards run Rampant

I got 4 oyster bands on my oyster knife you got any?

Don't you mean a band of retards running rampant? Oysters endangered? That is absolutely rediculous. Walk across the marsh without shoes and then tell me they're endangered!

They are talking about the entire eastern and gulf coast, not just MI. A disgruntled federal employee (not a consultant)started this because of his determination that Cheasepeak Bay renewal was taking too long ...see this link: http://www.boston.com/news/local/con..._be_protected/

This has been the worst season ever for oysters. I tried to order a lot the other week and the price is outragous. I usually get them from the gulf, but I was told the hurricane's made this year's crop hard to come by.

Depends on where you live. I always get local clusters...they taste better to me. I'm walking out the door right now to pick up a 25.00 bushel.

I lived on the Florida Gulf for two years and those oysters (IMHO) tasted just as good as ours. When someone buys the "gulf selects" here, they taste like turds. I don't think ours are better, they're just fresh. If someone's up for a road trip, I'll meet you at Hunt's Oyster Bar in 9 hours for 2 dozen raw on the half shell, a pound of boiled shrimp with the heads still on, an ice cold Bud in the bottle, and George Strait on the ol' Jukebox. Damn, those were the days.

Last year I was paying $20 a bushel for selects from the gulf, this year is $32 for selects. But that price is when you buy 500 pounds or more.

The ones I have been getting from the gulf come from Appaluchan(I think) Bay and have been some of the best I have ever had.

BS-- ours are better- the gulf coast oysters do not have the "Saltiness" of the Atlantic Coast-- I will take a decent bushel of McClellanville coon oysters over them Gulf Coast Selects-- I know what taste GOOOOOOD

Maybe its the Red Tide that makes em taste sooo gooood!
