GMAC, you've done up and hit yourself in the nuts on this one.

The scientific "community" (don't you just hate that word lately) is so split on this that they don't know if we're warming or cooling. One group will claim a glacier is shrinking and another will tell you that same glacier has increased in mass in all directions. The data supports NOTHING.

Com'on fella. You're waaaaay too smart to get in that line.

I'll be honest... I half ass support DU and half ass don't. I guess that fits with what they are doing.
I have read and read on the Global Warming deal. It is one of the few things in my life that I have wanted to get a handle on but could not. I think there is too much money and spin behind all of the data. My best guess is that we are having a warming trend of a minor and cyclical nature and that carbon is playing a role, perhaps accelerating it.

I simply do not see how taking billions of pounds of carbon sequestered under the earth's crust and pumping into the atmosphere does not produce SOME effect. Mostly though I want the arabs to go fuck themselves and have us get off of the petrol... MUCH more important to me than coal plants and what not.

Has DU done more FOR YOU lately than it has its board of Directors?

well...if you noticed my picture, I've been around for a very long time. I can tell you from personal experience that this is in fact earths natural cyle.

Global warming, climate change, hope and change, it's all about the $$$$

Fleecing of America? More like fleecing of the world.

adapt and get over it. Al Gore invented the internet and then began the crusade to save the world. Fucking hypocrite. I would like to take my size 12 carbon footprint and shove it up his ass.

It has been very hot the past two weeks. Scientist can not disprove that. They can, however, apply the principle of relativity. Relative to hell, it has been very, very mild. Relative to the Artic region, it has been hotter than hell. Relative to to DSDCMB, I am a good speller. Relative of Trapper, the neanderthal man remains discovered (or woman...Lucy I think her name was).

DU works for the ducks. It does not work to support or disagree with any of yalls political agendas. While some of yall may disagree with those previous two statements, DU scientists are in a much better position to confirm or deny the affects of global warming on ducks than you guys are. I think it is premature to condemn DU over a bill that MAY help the ducks. Just my $.02.

p.s. go ahead an tell me what an idiot i am since yall have all the answers

So support a bill that levies the greatest tax in America's history because it "may" help the ducks? I'll pass, and they should have too.

those with extra money tend to give more generously to charities and non profits.
those taxed endlessly tend to have no extra money.

Has DU come out with any studies to validate "global warming"? I'm sick and tired of people talking this global warming or climate change crap when there is no scientific proof it exists. I'll condemn that bill to hell if I have to anty up 30-50% more to heat and cool my home! And by the way, you can take those damn mecury filled new fangled light bulbs and cram them in a fucking Prius and drive it off a cliff! Better have the EPA ready to clean the site when it's over!

I am still waiting to hear what DU has done for YOU versus what it has done for its BOARD OF DIRECTORS- it aint about the ducks, GOD has a special way of taking care of his bird brained friends- maybe they will evolve into a featherless creature and begin to eat mosquitoes - maybe bats were ducks 2000 years ago!

Do you think the Board of Directors get invited to hunt on some special DU Hunts?? What would happen if you showed up and wanted to hunt, I mean you contribute and care about the ducks just as much as they do correct?

JAB, DU doesn't have to worry about nesting problems b/c that's what Delta does...don't you know nothin? i mean if that's what Delta does, then why should DU

Last week we had an unbelievably tight, down-to-the-wire fight in the U.S. House of Representatives over the massive Waxman-Markey cap-and-trade energy tax bill, the largest tax hike in American history and an unprecedented intrusion of the federal government into our economy and our lives.
Thank you so much for everything you did to give the side of economic sanity a fighting chance. Your calls and emails made a huge difference, and AFP members like you were clearly one of the driving forces last week.
We weren’t quiet able to win in the House (see how they voted here), but we’re confident that if we can keep educating and mobilizing regular common-sense Americans, we can beat this disastrous bill in the Senate.
• Here are few reasons to be hopeful:
* Just two states, California (32) and New York (25) provided more than a quarter of the 219 total yes votes
* Democrats in several key targeted Senate states voted majority no, including Indiana (3 of 5), Arkansas (2 of 3), and West Virginia (2 of 2)
* Earl Pomeroy of North Dakota, Stephanie Herseth Sandlin of South Dakota, both statewide elected Democrats, vote no
Unfortunately, we also learned that the White House is willing to do anything to get this bill passed, including misleading and intimidating members. That means the Senate fight will be right down to the wire, and pressure from back home will be the only way to stop this from passing.
We also know the stakes, in the President’s own words:
"Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket."

There is no time to waste, so I’m asking you to please click here to send a strong message to your Senators to oppose this outrageous cap-and-trade bill.

Thanks for everything you do to make AFP great.

P.S. We can and will win this fight in the Senate if you stay as engaged and active as you were during the House debate. Please forward this message to anyone you know in these most crucial Senate target states: Alaska, Arkansas, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
