    1866 I think it was. Found it in the New York Times. I would like to see me some frozen over Wateree river....

    I remember seeing the whole lower half of lake Moultrie freeze solid, about 4 inches thick. That was in 89 right after Hugo. Love to see some of that again !

    I don't believe the river could freeze now being a tailwater. It would have to be colder than hell for weeks on end. Now the lakes could freeze.

    I was on it in 12 degree weather this Jan. Not frozen of course, but if it was low like it was today and the current slack enough...maybe.
