    Default converting pics to jpeg from nef

    took pics of teeth in .NEF

    lab guy cant download them. says he got the "nikon software from their web site" but the pics come to him as thumbnails when he downloads.

    how do i convert to a .jpg?

    photo dorks unite.

    can you email me one of the files and let me see if I can open it on this MAC?
    beropalo@aol.com-- are you sure they are hi-res files to begin with? TOOF_ try renaming the file with .jpg at the end instead of whatever is there- then try opening in photoshop- this is basically what I would try first

    Have you tried highlighting it and then right clicking on it?

    toof, the nikon software that came with the camera should be able to do it with no problem. when you open the picture, try "saving as" or "export" and then when it asks you what to save as or export as, change it to a .jpeg
