    Default America

I never realized how proud Americans really are. Around here, you can't turn in any direction without seeing an American flag flying somewhere. We love our country and we love to show it. I thought that I would show how I look at some of these flags. This one goes out to our boys and girls who aren't at home.

Thanks guys. I just happened to see that second shot. I wasn't even supposed to be there. Got to love luck.

The first shot looks a lot darker on the crt monitor I'm using compared to my laptop.

I'm going to start an American Flag series. My first shots I ever took with a dslr were of the American flag down at Waterfront park. I told myself to always take some, but I never did. I may start doing that now.

Idle, I'm sure you can get some killer shots. I'll be waiting to see how they come out.

Great idea/thread. I, too, have been collecting some flag shots. I'll post a few when I get home.

Actually, the owner of the flag in that second shot should destroy it ASAP...respectfully, of course.

    Otherwise, nice shots...;-)

Tattered And Torn- Needs A FLAG Ceremony

There is no single, standard ceremony used in burning the U.S. Flag. The U.S Flag Code only states "The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning."

    WHICH INCLUDES BURNING

The only way to get rid of a flag, imo, is to burn it. Make sure you add a 21 gun salute.
