Damn near forever when it's vaccumed, I've found.

I ate loin friday night from 06 or earlier and it was still fit for a king.

It will last a good while if cryovaced, but I'd still try to have it all gone inside of 6-8 months. A year at most.

Water and meat is not my favorite combo in any form. It will keep in water, no doubt, but try and get a really good sear on it after you thaw it out. Also makes the meat a bit mushy and no one likes that. I'm not saying that it will go bad or anything. If you have it packed well, it won't get freezer burn or spoil. The only thing is that after several months, things start to lose their natural flavor and taste like the freezer. If you want the full flavor of your game, try and eat it inside a year.

Don't have to buy a grill, I don't cook at home.
