The Elites don't fear the tall nails, government possesses both the will and the means to crush those folks. What the Elites do fear (or should fear) are the quiet men and women, with low profiles, hard hearts, long memories, and detailed target folders for action as they choose.

Jacobs said photos of the wolves and their tracks will go into his claim for $7,300 in compensation from Defenders of Wildlife, a conservation group supporting the return of wolves to Oregon. In all he had 23 lambs killed, and others too injured to be sold.
    Good for him.

about 10 years ago, they outlawed hound hunting for bear and cougar in that state off a ballot measure. only won 2 counties, but it was the counties where Portland and Eugene sit. About the only state in the nation that has a 12 month long cougar season. hard to kill a kitty without dogs.

Now the wolf has moved in, that ranch is roughly 40 miles from where i go every other year to hunt. between the wolves and cougars, critters arent gonna stand a chance.

True, but cougars and wolves hunted there for thousands of years maintaining the natural balance..........they only became nuisances when man brought slow moving livestock.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

thats right, then we replaced wolves as an apex predator. figured someone who's never been out west would chime in about the "thousands of years" BS.

Bog, the only way to get back to a "natural balance" is to remove mankind from the equation.

I am not willing to do that.

Sorry. I am partial to lamb chops too.

who says i haven't been out west?

i like lambchops as well.............but if i was in the livestock business in the upper north west i would better prepare my grazing grounds against cats and wolves.

kinda like trying to raise softshell turtles in a mesh net pen on the riverbank and then being worked up when gators have torn through the net.

theres a difference..spending a week or 2 or living amongst. big difference. preparing your grazing grounds against cats and wolves??...we arent talking about a couple hundred acres...tens of thousands. each cow needs 15-20 acres to feed it, multiply that by 2000 head. More proof you are clueless.

now the soft shell theory is out the window also. When the net pen was installed, did you already have gators in your neck of the swamp? I bet you did.

wolves were eradicated in that area a 100 years ago, then some piss poor decision was made to "stock" some in yellowstone and montana. Of course no plan as far as control was placed in. Baker City, Oregon is around 400 miles from yellowstone. Who'd of thunk a nomadic critter would roam? Now, the wolf packs are putting a bad hurt on elk/deer/sheep/moose/livestock, etc. No seasons to help control their #'s. Even though the gray wolf is NOT an endangered/threaten species in the lower 48 you are unable to kill them even if they are killing livestock.

Your response to this shows your ignorance, kinda like your response to a thread about a year ago..remember the one about being allowed to carry weapons on National Parks? You couldnt see the need. Well, i threw out needs like bears, cougars etc that run all over National Parks out west.

Just goes to show, you really dont understand how shit is done out there.

    well shit.

i guess im just one upped.

my theory was that wolves and deer, elk, moose and what have you coexisted there since their evolution........the grazers seemed to do just fine when wolves and cats were the major predators keeping numbers in check. Hell, their numbers were 10 times what they are now.
Why are gray wolves now considered detrimental to these critters?

you are correct, i haven't spent more than a few weeks and am not familiar with wolves.

i remember the national park/guns discussion and appreciate you schoolin me on the subject.......take a moment to gloat........cause i don't get schooled much around here. haha.

now, how do feel about latin women?
