    Default Anybody catching any fish on santee

    was down at snatee around packs last week and saw alot of peolpe fishing. anybody catching bass? And just wondering if yall were catching the mollys yet or when that starts? bor the shell cracker and the bream

    It should be shellcracker maybe a fugitive crappie or cat in packs flat - always caught the mollys on the June moon off broadwater

    I don't know what you're wanting to catch, but it's been my experience with largemouth that they more or less slow down to almost nothing when the water temperature drops below 58 degrees. A thermometer might help you figure out what course to pursue.

    Can anyone else weigh in on the temp when bass slow down?

    Fish as a general rule the "pro's" say that when the water temp reaches 55 then fish start to move up into shallow water and become more active. In my years of fishing I have found that rule to be fairly accurate.

    Heard around 6#'s won a bass tournament on Santee this past weekend, but I'm the last dahm person to give advice on Santee

    i think u may have been fed a load of crap...there are alot of quality fish coming out of santee right now.

    if it was during one of those many many many cold fronts it was probably true...i didnt even think about that.

    i know of at least two 10+lb fish and an 8.14lb fish that came out of there in the last two weeks....and those are just guys in our club that caught em

    haha...nope...ive never caught a "quality" fish
