Catching Bass on the Edisto

Can anyone tell me how to catch largemouth on the edisto? What types of baits to use what to fish. I am new to river fishing just trying to find out some information.

fish it just like u would anywhere else.
fish worms next to the structure on the edges, under the over hangs, flip a dark colored jig like blue/black.

i hunt with a club right on the edisto river and i hardly ever fish it....i plan on changin that this year though.

Don't you have to consider the current?

what about it? there is plenty of little bends and pockets that dont have a whole lot of current affecting them.
what part of the edisto do you fish?

another favorite for me on the edisto is all the little slews/ponds that run off of her... goooood stuff.

Bang-O-lure for me is my favorite topwater there...

PLay the eddies as everyone else has said- don't fish the middle of the river as the open water is pretty dead- but the edges and corners--- SHAZAAAM!!!

Second the Bang-O-Lure. Favorite color is gold with black stripes. You'll want a short rod (6' - 6'6"), I prefer spinning gear.Sidearm it behind a log or tree coming off the bank. Try to get all the way back to the bank.

Second favorite lure is a clear Tiny Torpedo...be prepared to wear out the jackfish too.
