    Default Big catfish

    I was fishing with a buddy last Saturday when he caught an estimated 68 to 70 pound blue from a local lake on the catawba. I have pictures on my email but I don't have a clue how to post. If someone would like I will be glad to send them to someone to post up. We used the length x girth x girth divided by 800 formula to come up with 68. Not sure on actual weight but it was a monster for this lake.

    The first one was about 30 pounds (guessed). We released both fish and caught them on fresh cut shad. The guy holding the fish is also a pretty big guy (tall) so the pictures really do the fish no justice and thanks for posting. We are going after them again tomorrow.
