I've been here since shortly after the site opened... I honestly forget when that was. But it has been since at least 2002, if not earlier.

Like duckcrazed, I started on the other site. So, I guess I've been around for most of it. Dang, I'm showing my age! BD

Once upon a time, in a land far away, there was a site known as The Southern Duck Hunter.
It was a good site. It even spawned an OK dove club. But a series of mis-steps by the management started ticking folks off. The site finally imploded when it went pay. We warned the owner that it would happen, and sure enough . . . The founding members of this site were refugees from SDH. Many of you know all of this. I'm repeating it for the benefit of those that came after.

Aug '03 by my profile. A friend and hunting buddy of mine told me about duckcentral.com (I think the split from SDH had just happened).

For sure, I've met some damn good people through this site. And then there's Glenn and Mergie.

I think I googled SC duck hunting and found the site back in 06. One of the first pictures I remember was seeing Camo Snob flipping the bird behind a dead deer. Should have known better.

Well it took me a couple of weeks to figure out what the url of TOS was that everyone was talking about on SDH. Had dial-up for so long that I couldn't stand to post to much in the early days. But have been here longer than I can remember, made some good friends, built some nest tubes, and hope to do more of both.
It was a three dog night, and I ain't got but one dog, me and him both damn near froze.

I'm not sure how I found it but my profile says I joined in '02. It is still my favorite site and the one I go to for "internet" advise. It has helped me keep up with many current affairs that don't show up in any other print media. Compared to most of the other sporting related sites I frequent, this one has a surprisingly well educated peanut gallery. If an idea can survive peer review here, it's probably a valid idea.

    Thanks for providing the site.

found out about it at the end of my freshman year from ceddy. Joined immediately and cant get enough of it. Lets me know there is still hope for the country. This is by far the best forum out there. Its mostly local people and has a great feel to it. This was the first forum I joined and it sort of spoiled me. I didnt know how great this place was until I started looking for forums on turkey hunting and realized that there is really not many other places out there like this. Congrats JAB on the success.
