That is not a pretty picture.
How often are they right???
I know if it takes that path, we'll gate 5 out of Savannah.
That's just one of several models they look at - BUT, they are getting more and more accurate all the time.
A lot can change between now and then, but I am preparing for the worst.

I think I am going to Lowes for a generator. I hate to wish a catastophe on somebody else, but I sure wish it would go in the gulf or preferrably stay out in the Atlantic.

I'll probably head to Garden City on Thursday to board up, videotape and bring back a few things. Won't decide for sure until Wednesday night and the picture should be a lot more clear by then.
For those of you with assets along the coast, what do you do?
What about in the midlands?

This is a shorcut to FSU on the Penn State site. On of the animations is for a Pacific storm. The others ae for the Atlantic storm. Two of the Atlantic animations show Francis cutting across Florida. Guess where the other ones show he storm going.

There is a high pressure located over Bermuda which, unless it breaks down, should keep the storm moving west until right before landfall. I think the storm will take a last minute turn to the northwest..........hitting between Jacksonville and Savannah.
It's going to be another Hugo............just 100-150 miles to the south.
OSD,.......you need to move your boats.
Keep your fingers crossed.
We're on go. Just waiting to see what the word is going to be.
Savannah/Beaufort is my guess.

Savannah/Beaufort is the worst case scenario for us.
I hope not!!! If it hits that area all of the barrier islands (Fripp, Hunting, St. Helena, Lady's) will be destroyed!!!Originally posted by Sasha and Abby:

If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.
Missing you my great friend.
Ricky I suggest you slap the red light bar on the roof, put the Escort in the wind and get all the homo shrimp you can haul.
