    Default Welcome New Sponsor

Please welcome new Sponsor Central Nebraska Outfitters http://www.centralnebraskaoutfitters.com to the SCDUCKS family! Remember that our fine Sponsors keep this site free for all of us!

Central Nebraska Outfitters(a.k.a. CNO) was started by South Carolina native Lyndon Amick and Nebraska native Jim Martinosky after Lyndon went hunting in Nebraska and realized how great the waterfowl hunting could be.

Lyndon Amick- "Jim, my partner, has been in the business for over 8 years now and hunting all his life. We have 17 miles of river ground and another 55,000 acre of ranch property for over 100k plus acre to hunt.

We hunt whitetail , mule deer, ducks , pheasant, geese, prairie dogs, turkey and coyote.

There are thousands of outfitters for hunters to choose from, what I wanted to be different about CNO is that we provide quality hunts to our customers, meaning we don't over hunt anything and we maintain standards of hunting and service to our customer.

We have managed our properties from 3 to 7 years and we are reaping the benefits now in what we are able to harvest every year with our deer population.

Turkey hunting is amazing in Nebraska, I am always amazed at the amount of HUGE gobblers I see when im out there. I have yet to go with out seeing turkeys every time. We also have 3 of the 4 needed for the grand slam, so turkey hunters could hunt with us and get 3 of the birds needed and go to Florida to finish it off.

Waterfowl is my passion, specifically greenheads. This is the place I choose to make my stand. We kill 95% mallards and the birds are everywhere out there. If you look at google maps and look at 2 bodies of water that hold almost all the ducks in the area, they would be Lake McConauaghy and the Sutherland reservoir. The reservoir is 1.5 miles from my property and holds 300,000 plus mallards every year and cannot be hunted because it is a power plant cooling pond. The birds are there and when it gets nasty and everything freezes up, we have warm water sloughs on our property that stay open all year. We can hunt all year long and the ducks pour into the only open water around, which makes for a great setup.

Goose hunting is fun too! We set up in the cornfields in layout blinds or one of our pit blinds, makes it really nice when it gets REALLY cold. Our blinds on the river are 12 ft long and covered in canvas and then are brushed in very well. I believe in cover and concealment and you get that in all we do.

We look forward to developing some long lasting relationships with the SCDUCKS Membership!"

    Thanks and happy hunting,

    Lyndon

PS- Here is how things are looking right now!
