I own (2) .243's wouldn't trade them for the world. Started shooting my mom's .243 at age 7 and still shooting the same gun to this day. My parents gave me a nice Browning Eclispe .270 for graduation from Clemson and absolutely despise shooting it. A .243 is all you need to bring down a whitetail. Sweet shooting and very accurate little rifle perfect for a women or a child.
