...as if some of y'all didn't know that already?
About two months ago, I got a new toy ('09 Kawasaki KLX250S dual-sport) and my deal was that I'd sell off some stuff to partially fund it.
Well, I sold a Sig 226 and a HK USP.
Not that big of a deal, but both of these guns were 9mm. I'm not a huge 9mm fan, but I'm not against them, either. My only 9mm left is a Tec-9 my father bought back before the AWB many years ago; this was a potential "investment" piece (LOL).
So, yesterday, a guy was talkin' to me at work and mentioned that we should go shoot. I'm game, and thought about which 10-15 pistols I'd take w/ me to Shooter's Choice. Then it dawned on me -- I have over 1,400 rounds of 9mm, and nothing (fun) to shoot it out of.
I sold the Sig to some guy on the web, but the HK went to a co-worker. Today, I approached him with, "Hey, just to let you know, if you're ever in a pinch, and need some money, I'll buy that HK back from you because I'm regrettin' it." He basically said he'd never sell it; oh well, my loss, his gain.
So, long story short, I'm on the hunt for a 9mm.
For years, I've eyed the Walther P99. I like the way it feels, and it's a German gun. I enjoyed the Sig I had, but if I buy another, it's gonna be one of their more expensive "custom shop" 9mm's, and I just can't (dont' want to) swing that right now with a baby on the way.
I want something different, but I don't know what I want. I already have Glocks, HKs, Sigs, Berettas, Springfields, Colts, and a few others. The Walther would really only be the "different" choice.
The other thing in the back of my mind is one of the new S&W autos.
No Glock. No Springfield.
Find me a handgun since I'm a retard w/ much ammo and no gun.
