    Default Riding the Lightning!!!!!

    This is 5 seconds of hell. You are at anyones mercy during the 5 seconds that feel like an enternity. This was necessary for my Taser certification. I don't wish this on anyone unless you deserve it. Since this video was taken I know have my Taser instructor certification and it only got worse.

    when i was in college one of my buddies had just got back from the academy and was working for florence county. He was a pretty buff, cut fellow and thought he could handle anything. Went to tazer thing and told me that morning that he was gonna take it like a man. thet afternoon he called me and said he hollered like a little bitch. He said that they sat about 10 of em indian style on the floor and had them lock arms. Put one electrode on the calf of man on one end and calf of man on other. He said they hit the thing and the green mile sized black dude beside him damn near ripped his shoulder out of socket.

    Unless you grab somebody BETWEEN where the probes hit, you can grab someone and not feel a thing. The ride I'm glad I DIDN'T take is where the shoot it offset a bit, so one dart misses - without the other dart in you to complete the circuit... you don't get zapped. BUT... let the shooter come up and push the "gun" into you and pull the trigger... it completes the circuit and REALLY lights you up.

    We did ours here at Horry County PD about two years ago and I ain't doing it again. It's a sensation that defies words... maybe pain, bewilderment, panic, all at the same time.

    Did you opt for the 5 seconds? I thought you were given a choice of 2 seconds or 5. But maybe I misunderstood that part.

    I took all five seconds Mergie. There isn't an option to take two or five seconds. As far as I know there has only been one or two confirmed instances where a subject loss control and pissed or crapped on themsleves. This is out out more that 650,000 taser deployments.
