Scotch is my usual drink but on really hot days, I like a good frozen daquiri. My wife's cousin turned me onto a great recipe that doesn't require a blender. You do have to plan in advance however since it has to freeze over night.

12 cans of diet Sprite
12 oz of frozen limeaid concentrate
24 oz of good rum, I use Mount Gay Eclipse. Also works with vodka.
two drop of green food coloring. (optional)

Mix it all together in a big metal pot and freeze for 24 hours. It won't freeze solid and still needs to be busted up some. A potato masher or a short piece of 1 1/4" PVC pipe works fine. Once busted up, it stays in a crystaline texture. If it thaws, it will refreeze.

I keep a cauldron of it in my outside freezer all summer. It's a crowd pleaser.
