Catch a farmer when he is digging em'....buy some from him or ask to pick what is left over out of the field that they missed.

Usually there are a good number of big fields around Tabor City / Carolina community or at least there used to be.

Deer will tear em up, and so will I (preferably fried )

    Default sweet taters

ADK, I have a field of taters that I will start digging the 1st week of september. Located in Andrews. $15.00 a bushel or $13.00 a bushel for 15 bushels or more. Best damn taters you ever eat, NODAT!

Go to a bakery and get some of their out of date bread and sweet cakes. Pour em' out one watch for the ground to become tilled.

Take some post hole diggers and dig about a 12 inch hole, poor some cool aid in and around the hole. You do not have to mix it with water just drop the mix right on the ground and in the hole. Make several holes around the area you are going to hunt. They love it and its cheap!

you can get the tater culls at the market pretty cheap. Usually helps to know someone or show up with a 12 pack.

Gbelly is spot on with the clays.
