    Default Beans and Chufa

The beans and chufa in our various food plots are starting to take shape...just thought I would share a few pics. The poconite is keeping the deer off them for now...but not sure how much longer it will last. Not too worried about the grass in the beans...we can easily get that under control. But what do you guys recommend we put on the chufa to kill the unwanted weeds/grasses? Gotta make sure the turkeys stay happy...

For grass in chufa use Poast with a surfactant @a rate of 1.5 pts per acre
for weeds 2-4 d will work

Thank you...we thought about Poast and heard it works well...do you know if we need a permit to purchase it?

Good lookin stand. You must have got the rain right when you needed it.

Poast is the ticket for the grass you have in your chufa. Follow the label rate and don't go with the more is better approach. You can burn the chufa and this year you certainly DON'T want to do that.

I know dozens of folks in the upstate that never planted their chufa this year waiting on the rain AND dozens more that did plant it and the rain never came.

I planted 4 acres of RR soybeans and I think I had 4 beans come up! Sure a good way to piss away hard earned cash and time......

I'm guessing there will be a lot of chufa top sown this March up here.....

I'd rather see it in March/April with a gobbler in the middle of it
