    Default Late Corn

Well, I planted this field later than the rest. He's what 100 units of nitrogen and 6 inches of rain will do. It's 5 1/2 ft to the top of the ATV spreader. Most of the corn is over 9 ft tall with some hitting the 10 ft mark to the top of the tassles. I'm glad this isn't in the impoundment. The top ears are 6 ft off the ground.

Nothing wrong with that stand. Between the water damage (beavers) and hog damage (severe) we won't be cutting corn to sell out of the ponds after all. I have seen hog populations fluctuate from NONE to PLENTY during the years. This year's crop of hogs is setting records. We are keeping the dogs on them and they are increasing. Vile swine...

good looking corn. our duck pond corn looks great and is fine as anyother year. dove field corn is spotty but overall in good shape.

no hogs as of yet. fence is keeping them out of the ponds. a few are in the dove fields here and there. a few on camera here and there. but nothing like years past. the dogs, traps, OO buckshot, and neighbors with no fences have helped. 200+ in 2 years has kept the mad population of old at bay.

hope that little bit of braggin didnt jinx us....
