I can make a mean meatloaf. But on that topic i made one with venison instead of beef and it was very dry. Any tips on keeping that from happening?

When I was in college I cooked all the time. You can go to Wally-World or most grocery stores and find a 10lb bag of chicken quarters for like five bucks! You can make BBQ chicken or chicken salad enough for a week. The best thing to do is buy bulk and wrap in freezer paper. You can get some good deals on ground beef, pork chops, whole pork loins and chicken when its on sale. You have to shop.
I cooked catfish a lot in college. Little House-Autry seasoning and some roil and I was money. Cooked a lot of catfish stew too. We ate steaks a good bit. There was a butcher between Laurens and Clinton that would sell 15oz Ribeyes for 6 dollars which is bad ass anywhere. Oh and Boston Butts in the Crock Pot are the way to go. I liked to use a viniger base. It keeps the meat moist.
