    Default Texas Hunt 2009!!!!

Got a call last night from a friend that asked if I was interested in hunting a ranch in Texas with him next year..........he's a newbie and doesnt know much about calling and reading birds so I jumped on the opportunity......I've always wanted to go up there and try my luck with those birds...........he said the ranch was hunted by his friends last season and they all tagged out.........this year was different they only filled half there tags but I didnt hear any good reports come out of TX this year............

You will love hunting the Rios. Should be lots of two year old Gobblers in 09. Everybody I know that went this year saw tons of jakes...........

Rios love some aggressive calling!!! They are a fun subspecies to hunt. I have had great success on killing some long spurred Turkeys in TX which is always a nice bonus.

We will be hunting Haskell County near Rule, TX in 2009...Good luck to yall!!
