Default Need to cut a barrel

I am looking for recommendation for a gunsmith to cut off a shotgun barrel and then thread for choke tubes. I would prefer someone in as close as possible to Beaufort County, but I will ship if necessary.

Have any of you had expericance with anyone in the state for this?

    Thanks

While waiting for responses here, I called up Kick's Chokes over in Sylvania, Georgia and spoke with a fellow by the name of Chuck. Real nice guy.

They will shorten the barrel and thread it for $50.00, if I buy a choke at the same time. It's a no brainer because: 1. I like Kick's Chokes and had planned on buying one anyway; and, 2. Chuck lives in SC and said I could just drop my barrel off at his house/barn and he would take it from there.

That's the kind of service and employee that builds brand loyalty.

Another to consider is Wallace Curtis in Pickens. Lifelong friend of the family - machinist by trade. Will do a stellar job. Makes chokes as well.

Further from you than Kicks, but may be an alternative for you.

I can get you a number if you need it.

    No doubt.

I could recommend someone in the upstate, but without a doubt, go with a man that will work for your business.

$50 is dirt cheap. I've done it before and I'd charge more.
