    Default They’re dropping

We spent most of yesterday burning (I even let Santee11 have a turn on the drip torch) but took a ride on the SXS after we finished, checking fields for sheds….and they were everywhere!IMG_0912.jpgIMG_0912.jpgIMG_0911.jpg

I usually find a few sheds during squirrel season every year but never that many. Have yet to find a fresh shed this year but did find a decent dead head the other day.

I saw a buck eating off the road the other night.i estimated him to be about 160-180lbs with both his horns still intact.it looked pretty wide from what i saw out the corner of my eye.his horns curved around and was about 3-5 from touching each other.i thought they lost all their horns by now.

I saw one last night that still had both sides.

I found three drops and also a skeleton this weekend. Wasn’t really looking for them, just happened to spot them.

Lucky, burned a fair amount yesterday and today. Yet to find one this year.

I was surprised to see a small buck two days ago with both sides. When he left me, I was half expecting to see one drop.

I just about run a buck over the other morning. He had both sides and so did another buck on the side of the road. I find most of my sheds with the tractor tires.

I shot an extra deer this year as compensation for the hole in my tractor tire last year from a shed.
