“School Daze” was the first print that I bought for the first house that I bought and it hung over the fireplace until I sold that place. I spent a lot of money with Jim Killen and Art Lamay. I met Jim through mutual Boykin Spaniel friends and got to hang out some over the years. I quit going to SEWE after my tenure as Chapter Chair with Delta Waterfowl in 07. I spent a lot of money on artwork, Bloody Mary’s and seafood over the years attending. I have some great memories and some personalized artwork from the legends to remember it by. The older I get the less I want to be around people and that is WAY TOO MANY people.

Never been. Can't afford anything they're selling down there anyway. Plus, it's Charleston. Charleston was too crowded in '89.

I didn't go this year, but I try to go every 2 or 3 years. My wife and kids enjoy it, I get to catch up with friends I don't see often, see some clients and partners, and occasionally buy something.

There are yankees and tamie shooters on here, only difference with SEWE is they are easier to pick out.

Why my last trip was in 1987. Charleston sucks with all the traffic and people.

I was 30 miles south catching fish, picking a few clusters of oysters, and shooting snipe for my Boykin to pick up. One fish had someone's broken-off popping cork rig giving away his position every few minutes when he got in less than 3' of water.

My buddy drops big money to feel like he's fancy and go to the dances and oyster roasts. He sent a picture of the tickets and program, and it had a mf moose on it. Last year, it was either a cape buffalo, lion, or some other African game, I can't remember which. So much for the whole "Southeastern" part of the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition.
