Same pussies that are scared of snakes, coyotes and wild hogs. Need to stay home and watch the scary outdoors on TV.

All the tough guys must not have done much bank fishing which I considered my job coming up. From upstate but still enough run ins to be a PIA. Not scared of them, not the point. But they’re a nuisance. If deer ate people when given the chance, I wonder if we would try to preserve the biggest ones for whatever reason? Hell we don’t even do that now. Why not save the largest pigs too while we’re at it. Again this is stupidity.

I don't hate them. It's kinda cool to see one doing gator things. If you opened the season year round and let people kill all they wanted, you would not get rid of them all. They are big, nasty lizards, so I just don't see the reason the DNR would want or need to put much thought or effort worrying about "managing" their population. To me, they are quite a few rungs lower on the give-a-shit ladder than a SC blue cat. About the only management they need is maybe some season dates...beyond that, let it be. If I had a duck dog and still lived and hunted in SC, then I'd hate them.

So we now pull the 13 footers in the boat and take the hook out? Catch and release!
