    Default J Bar implements

I am in need of a land plane. Crush and run drive needs it bad! Is the J Bar sufficient for one driveway's regular maintenance? Anyone have one they don't need any longer? Any recommended brands? Thanks.

How long is your driveway? I touch mine up w a 7' landscape rake once or twice a year, works fine.

I have a 6' LandPride grader/planer that does an awesome job on our crusher run driveway. Don't try it when the ground is wet. Does much better in dry ground.

Drive is about 1/4 mi. I have a box scrape but when it was loaned the scarifiers were "lost" along with bars and pins. No idea how, but I learned a lesson. I have a landscape rake and it does ok, but it's packed pretty good and needs some material pulled up to fill some holes.

I don't know anything about JBar specifically, but a land plane is the simplest/easiest tool I've used for dressing driveways and woods roads. My next choice would be a box blade and a loader with bucket.

J-bar is made in GA and will be just fine for what you are doing. If you were using it everyday I'd find one with some thicker material, but it will suit your needs. I have a turn plow from them that is over 30 years old my dad bought new. I sent it back to them a few years ago and they re-worked it, painted it, and sent it back free of charge.

Anyone have any experience with the J-Bar rotary cutters? I've been looking at the 6ft Premier with dual rear wheels. There is a dealer not far from me and the prices are much better than Woods or Bush Hog.

I use this behind my tractor or sxs. Been pleased. I could never get it right with a box blade/scraper.

You will never do with a box blade what you can do with a grader/planer.
