Yep and those 2 teams lost 3 games to opponents that aren’t ranked. Teams I might add that got throttled by the Chickens. So whose losses were better?
I get it. $$$ rules all and with the bs being spewed about letting certain teams in speaks volumes about how much viewership and the money made by who plays in these games matter.

Not me buddy, I knew how it was gonna go last night. Kinda like when I was a kid growing up around Christmas. Every year I asked for a puppy but I knew deep down it was never going to happen. Stupid Santa!

I can almost guarantee you that the committee setting all this up are hoping like hell that SMU beats Clemson. If it goes the other way (and I believe it can) how can they spin it to keep the golden child Crimson tide in the mix? Gonna be real interesting this time next week for sure.

How dare you coots question the supreme leaders of college football… ESPN and the SEC. Y’all are conference members on paper. When the rubber meets the road y’all are little sisters in SEC.
Isn’t this kind of shit the reason the coots ducked out after ‘69 ?

speaking of "tallest midget", the fact that we are talking about 12 and 14th ranked teams for the natty is ridiculous. a 6 or 8 team playoff was as big as it shoulda been. and when sos or any other bullshit metric trumps winning games and winning head to head....well tell me you never played football without telling me you never played football.

Coots been dick riding UGA/BAMA for a decade or more. Don’t get butthurt. When you’re an SEC team you gotta know your role. Stay in line. Roll tide!

It should have never gone beyond 4. Most years the separation between 1/2 and 3/4 has been pretty significant. A 12 team expansion is nothing more than a revenue generator. Doubt we ever see a team in the 6-12 advance to the finals, a 4/5 seed will most likely be rare.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Been happening in D2 ball for decades and will happen at D1 too. I'm not a fan of NIL and the transfer portal. But this has been an entertaining season and the field has never been more evenly matched in my opinion.

That said at the beginning of the season if you had told any Carolina fan they would be 9-3 with double digit wins over A&M and Oklahoma and win the Clemson game we all would have been thrilled to damn death. Carolina has a good story to tell to portal guys given the success of Kennard, Knight, and Rocket to name a few. Looks like they flipped a few guys to sign today as well. Hopefully they can build on the momentum from this season.

And I hope Clemson beats the brakes off SMU.
Clemson couldn't beat the brakes off of SCSU.

I think you're 100% right about it never needing to go beyond 4 teams- wish it hadn't. I think that the separation between the 2 best and the field that existed for the last decade is gone. I think your last sentence will be proven incorrect within 3 years or fewer.

There has been a good bit of parity in CFB this season, I'll give you that. I hope I'm wrong and we get some great games, nobody wants to see anymore TCU/UGA type playoff games, I'd love to see a 10-3 Tiger's team hoist the trophy but that's a pretty tall order.

Well you ain’t been right about anything else this season so I’d say you’re safe from that happening as well.

If you expect me to pull for Clempsin when Carolina sits at home you are silly.

If we could play you again in the playoff I would pull for you to beat SMU.

It would be another USC victory And you won't beat US next year either. Your run is over.

You saw something that I didn't see on Saturday. Next year we're going to have to put up a ton of points to win games, I'm afraid.

Beamer and his win streak against ranked teams has recruits flopping in the boat
Flipped a 4-star OL from Georgia today and a tight end from LSU
LaMagic Sellers is doing wonders for recruiting
