Whole post was beautifully said, but for sake of space, just wanted to quote that to say, I don't either, but we don't have to agree. Thats what freedom is about. As long as it doesn't encroach on our rights to live how we want to live (and that doesn't mean encroach on our feelings or beliefs about how others should live), then live and let live.

However, here is the kicker: If you live a superior life, its apparent to others. You don't have to convince people of it or concern yourself with how they live. They will see the product of how you live, and people will be drawn to it. To your point about Christians, if people actually lived like Christ, they wouldn't have to proselytize or argue, others would see by their works that they had something they wanted or would benefit from. Right now, the way we're trying to force our points of view on others, we are a bunch of 600-pound fatties telling each other what diet is the best one.

That's proven in the last 4 years. Our country is worse because of it. So "creating win-win scenarios where everbody has their needs met" doesn't exist. It is a fantasy! The first time I went to get a vasectomy, I was told no because I was 22 years old and was told that my brain could go through another form of puberty. Now they are letting children explore sex changes before they even graduate high school. This country is so beyond fucked if we do not stand up and fight for what is right.

Now if someone wants to have a decent conversation, I am all for that, but I am not about to allow this normalization, in the last 4 years, be okay anymore. A person having to leave their church after 50 years because they are conforming to the new "normal" is not the definition of normal. Keep that in mind.
Not what I'm saying. I'm saying be kind but firm. The adults are back in charge and reason will prevail, so the shit the children we're pushing and getting away with will stop. The things that a reasonable person wouldn't be ok with will stop. That doesn't mean we have to hate the children to set those boundaries or try to take away their right to be themselves as long as their actions don't encroach on other peoples rights (beliefs about how others should act when those actions don't affect you are not rights, btw).

    facts hurt feelings.

alot of people’s feelings will be hurt because the adults are coming back in charge.

corrections must commence for lives to productively succeed.

    life is tough.
    it sucks.
you must overcome, or it sucks even worse.
but you wont get out alive.

    Again, horeshit.

It is always us against them looking over from their side of the fence. I'm not stopping anybody from their pursuit of happiness, but you certainly don't get an easier go at it than I do. Nor, are you going to demand that I particiapte in your silly charade. It's this type of cuck mentality right here that has us in our present-day situation. If we all just "got along" over the last 500 years, we'd be driving on the left side of the road, drinking pints, and all have bad teeth.

So I agree with how you put this. I absolutely do. I do not agree with conforming to meet everyone's needs though. You have written an oxymoron a couple times. You say healthy disagreements lead to freedom, and I agree with this. Yet, you also say we need to try and create "win win scenarios so everyone wins" is not having healthy disagreements. Again, this presidency tried just that, and look where it has got us. And truly, if these people are having to call a suicidal hotline because of a president elect, then I have absolutely no room in my heart for that kind of weakness any longer. Seriously, I am done with the soft spirited in this country. Educate yourselves and grow up, or shut up and let the adults run this country after all. Theres a reason this election was a landslide. The fighters in this country are ready to fight and the people have voted and spoken. Time for real change and time to stop stooping down to the level of stupidity and expecting a positive change.

I understand the sentiment. We've been too quiet and passive for too long. The future is looking bright no matter how you slice it. Just hoping we can implement changes and convert more people to reason instead of beating them into submission or scaring them into silence.

Re: apparent contradictions (oxymorons) - agreed but there are variables and shades of grey that can't be accounted for in a few sentences statement.

I have no pity or sympathy for anyone with a set of nuts(or previously had a set in this case) that's so weak they look to the government for their sense of safety. Weak men didn't make America and they darn sure aren't going to improve it.

All I am saying is it takes 2 to tango. They have to reason with us and work with us but the left havent had to do that in 4 years and they demand their way and many (including myself) have had to conform to it. Now they don't get their way in an election and they are promoting a suicide hotline because of their despair? Know what that screams???? Weak pussy hearts without the ability to accept true democracy. So go away! Whether thats going to another country, or putting themselves in the ground, I do not care! Acting this way because they didnt get their way in an election is about unamerican as it gets. What you describe is 100% entitled behavior that has ruined this country already.

Sir go ahead and try and save them. We will check up on you in 6 months with how thats going. I bet you are severely disappointed in what you find. I would put money on it you come back and tell us there is no helping them... because theres not. The truth of the matter is we have been here having conversation for 4 years now and constantly being shut down or being made the bad guys. Remember, just the other day, our president just called us trash for our beliefs. Yet they say all the time we are the group thats created division, but we are the ones out here willing to have the tough conversations and they are the ones out there labeling and name calling. Now they dont get their way and they want to off themselves. No more room in this country for weak minded. So dont let yourself stoop down to their level to try and save them. Just dont do it, you will lose yourself trying.

There is nothing okay with those two views being paired up in the same post and I'm getting tired of always seeing this type of stuff on here.
Guess you glazed over the part of "He's what WE ALL need." And you are correct, my post does sum up most of what's wrong with the world today. We just have different views on the part that's wrong. The point I was trying to make is that people that really want to kill themselves because of this election have zero hope. Me, with my flawed self, has hope. And it is because of Jesus. Remember this, Christian doesn't = doormat.

So is the point of the Gospel not to do everything one can to show those people that hope?

Or is that just the preacher's job?

We are all flawed and sinful. Have been since the fall. But that's no excuse to just spew whatever vitrol you want to and then shield your behavior under the umbrella of 'grace and hope'.

One thing to always remember is that you are no less sinful than the people you speak against.

You are 100% right. Christian doesn't = doormat.

    Christian = Christ follower.

    Matthew 22:36-40

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

I think I'll just leave it at that. I started to type out a bunch of other stuff but this whole thread is just disheartening. I'm scared to know how many of the people spewing hate in this forum week after week will be in the pew on Sunday singing praise to the Lord about the love, forgiveness and saving grace He brought to them. Shaking hands and greeting people with a little extra pep in their step, not because of Jesus' finished work on the cross, but because their boy DJT is back in the oval office.

I don't care what they think. Many are mentally weak and brainwashed.

I heard their leaders speak, ive been hearing the Chuck Schumers, Pelosi's, Obama's, Biden's call us White Christian Nationalists, Nazi's, etc.

    No, I will not bend a knee, I won't.

They hate the conservative males, women and try to shame us.

“Duck hunting gives a man a chance to see the loneliest places …blinds washed by a rolling surf, blue and gold autumn marshes, …a rice field in the rain, flooded pin-oak forests or any remote river delta. In duck hunting the scene is as important as the shooting.” ~ Erwin Bauer, The Duck Hunter’s Bible, 1965

We heard you the first time... no need to repeat yourself lol.

In all seriousness, I completely agree with you. I can careless how people act or react and if that means they are too weak minded to accept democracy for what it is and want to rid of themselves over it, then so be it. Its not my responsibility to save them because they cannot accept Trump won the election.

Your points are valid and well-spoken; I'm talking more about common decency. Like not blatantly being a jackass just because you can. And showing a little empathy regardless of your personal beliefs or political affiliation. Stuff like that.
