Reportedly McDonald was illegally hunting for deer during the nighttime when he heard rustling near the canal. He fired three to four rounds from his 20-gauge shotgun at what he believed was a deer, which was actually the two victims walking their dog. McDonald fled the scene.

Upon arrival on scene, Dorchester County EMS personnel and Sheriff’s Deputies located two victims, a female and a male, suffering from gunshot wound injuries.

The female was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the male was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

According to the arrest warrant, McDonald saw the incident on the news the following day and turned himself in.

McDonald is currently housed at the Dorchester County L.C. Knight Detention Center, pending a bond hearing.

He saw it on the news and turned himself in? Bullshit. He didn't even go try to see what he shot?

How the hell do you shoot not one but two people walking a dog on a road?
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Exactly. He was shooting a 20 gauge so I’d guess they were in 50 yards. I’m sure the one that was alive made some sort of noise implying he was a human.
