I need to bust one I saw in my yard this morning.
At least I'm housebroken.
Five Oh,
What are you using for rifle cartridge and ammo choice?

.223 Hornady TAP 55 grain. I rarely get an exit hole, but I do get more runners than I like, especially past 200 yards. I'll eventually build a 6 creed or 243bolt gun set up
Nice. that is a great bullet.
I am shooting some .223 Hornady 55 grain V Max and it anchors em for sure.
Found a deal on some Black Hills 62 grain TSX and they are accurate enough from my Tikka CTR. Pretty impressive on the various varmints I have killed with them. Wicked javelina load for sure.

I changed to a .22-250 this year. About 50% more umphhh and much flatter shooting. Running about 3400fps (55gr) out of an 18" barrel with a can. When I run 64 and 70gr pills, I get 3200 and 3050fps respectively. BORINGLY accurate. Shoots .2's to .6's with the above loads. Best $500 gun ever with a little trigger work.

Picked up a little bit last night. First stand called in a pair and killed both, second stand had five come in together then hit my wind at 300ish. Only managed one out of those when they busted. Played with a bobcat in a cotton field on the third stand and then it died. They'd locate but wouldn't move on the last 4 stands. I don't know if the temp dropping down to the 20s had them sluggish or what. Still a fun night and spent a few minutes playing with the camera as well.
