    Default Sept 15 Doves

Finally found a nice afternoon to get out in the field. Between College and trying to work a little on the weekends it feels near impossible to find any time. Had the field to ourselves and luckily there was still a decent number of birds. While I do enjoy the fellowship of a full field, an empty dove field has a sense of calmness that a barn burner hunt does not. Got in the field at 3 and out by 5 with a limit and a first bird for my ole lady. IMG_3483.jpgIMG_3473.jpg

Heck yeah, man. That A-5 is cool, too.

It Just so happened that all of my grandfathers ended up with a couple in their lifetime as well as my dad buying some in the 80's so we ended up with a nice collection. Pictured are both Japanese made guns, One light 12 with a 26" modified barrel (my go to dove gun) and a light 20 with the invector chokes and a 26" barrel. Both came from a grandfather on opposite sides of the family and have been well cared for. We own a few more Japanese made as well as a Belgium made or two. Still looking for a Mag 20 with invector chokes if anyone wants to come off of one. That would complete the collection. My father is a classic A5 snob and refuses to shoot anything else .I think its cool he still exclusively shoots one. Don't see many anymore and they always get a compliment.
