i've never understood the "hi viz" bead bullshit. hell, I dont even like a vented rib. while that is certainly personal preference, marine corps misser has so much shit on his gun he cant make a putt. you dont need all that crap. quit buying all that crap and they'll stop making it. it makes you look silly. buy a simple gun with no bullshit on it and shoot the damn things dead. its not rocket surgery. you dont need a blind or a dove strap. you dont need a yeti bucket to be as cool as Gene. Thats high cotton.

I did buy a new chair, forgot to bring it out on the first hunt... I did have to buckle my fancy vest for the first time in a bit Sunday, the belt caught the side of the chair when I began to take evasive action. I flipped the damn thing with my box of shells and la croix on the cute little side table. it's an alps, directors with a little flip out, recommend those for sitting hunts.

Had our opening shoot/cookout Saturday. Opening day is more about the kids and fellowship. My oldest picked up where he left off last year and got 5, he’ll be 10 next month. My middle boy shot the .410 for first time and got 1. Mama shot for the first time in almost 10 years and got 2. I finished with 11, passed on a lot of opportunities trying to manage where 3 other guns were pointed. Baby girl was running back and forth between stands barefoot for most of the time.

Good times were had by all. Little over 210 birds total I think.

I still don't think you understand, though I've said it several times above.

He don't listen; he's just waiting for his turn to yell again.

yeah, on slower hunts you sure can get out quick.. I wouldn't get feisty, it's unbecoming.

and it's "la" croix, if you're trying to lay down the sass... and don't pretend you're going to outshoot or out dove me just because you have it in your screen name.

USMCSILVER, if your gun is shooting high you will need to tighten the barrel nut all the way down and it should cure your problem. Dwayne (Duckman#1) sent me a pm years back about this issue and I have since fixed 3 with this one trick. All 12 gauges tho. My 20 shoots great right out the box.

I wouldn’t want to be presumptuous because I’ve never seen you shoot. However, most good shooters that I hunt with don’t feel the need for a 12 though.
