    Default Ice maker

    So I have been wanting one of these gizmos for a while , and with ball I figured it wouldn’t take long to pay for itself,, finally said screw it and bought one , had a little chest freezer that was given to me that I’m going to make my dedicated ice freezer.. $400 ice maker and a 100 ice bags from Amazon . It’s the little things in life I guess.

    Bin holds 30lbs so I will come home at lunch Tom and bag another 30lbs

    AND? How it working out? I got a Mantiwoc that makes bout 100/lbs with a 60/lb bin under counter I need to move Stainless Steel with the tape still on it I need to sell. Need a bigger unit

    I bought a 150# Hoshizinki about 10yrs ago. That thing hasn’t skipped a beat. I paid $900 used at Po Boys and it’s paid for itself a hundred times over at least just for fishing. I got 20# and 50# bags. I think I figured it up and a 50# bag of ice costs me about $0.38 to make, mostly the cost of the bag. A 50# bag if you can get them is $8-$9.00. Bought a 7’ freezer and we store 300# of ice, bait in bulk and vacuum bags of fish in it. That ice maker dies tomorrow, I’ll replace it before the day is over.
    Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

    pshaw, I have two ice boxes that never really get past half full with 80 16lb bags and 150 7lb bags.. I throw a 16lb in my fancy cooler every other day this time of year, actually there's always ice in and a selection of la croixs and perrier.

    I've got a big Ice O Matic at my shop and another one at the beach.

    I bought them from a lady in Elgin that had a shipping container full of 'em still wrapped in plastic and on a skid that came from Louisiana during Katrina.

    I think I gave her $1500/ea. I got bins free from here and there.

    The bin in my shop holds about 600lbs. The bin at the beach about 400#.

    If they tear up, they will be repaired or replaced. I love 'em.
