So is there a point in emailing the committee again at this point?

I don't know that there was a point in emailing them to begin with. I think they print them out and when the D's and the R's get together for their end of session blow out party they read them aloud and laugh through their cigars.

You remember that one I shot with Rayzor on the lake in flip flops? It weighed about 12 lbs. Slipped in silent behind me. All I saw was a lit up head while I was looking through the corner of my skull. I was damn proud of that bird and as I remember it taste fantastic to a few broke as college kids who could barely afford the grease to fry it in!

Most folks can't kill a deer without a corn pile.

Legalized statewide baiting seems to have led to the decline in the Upstate for sure.

Well would it be better for turkeys to fill your tags with jakes rather than mature birds? I thought the whole point of changing regulations was to retain mature birds for breeding. Ga needs to be brave and do the right thing but they are not. Increase the population by cutting the harvest rates. It is that simple. 1 tag per hunter and you cant hunt, guide, or call unless you have a tag in your pocket.

Where they at? I've hunted the FM for two decades in all units. Never seen the first kernel.

I did see a guy carrying a bag of live oak acorns he had raked up one time.

Texas and most Midwest corn is free from Aflatoxins. The South East is not.

There is also a study in Tenn that says moving the dates back has little to no effect. Louisiana seems to be coming back with the season moved back. I think the season needs to be moved back from March 22 but I did not agree with April 10 in the lower part of the state. I am no biologist but when the season started April 1 I heard lots of gobbling and saw plenty birds. Now if they would stop full strut decoys.

alfatoxin poison is kinda like HIV, The aflatoxin poison doesn’t actually kill the birds. it’s the secondary infection due to lack of immune system is what actually kills them. A spur wound or 2-3 pellets beciomes deadly with aflatoxin poisons present.

all those corn ponds in the south, loaded with aflatoxins y’all are feeding the ducks too!

Bottom line- hunters are killing too many turkeys
