Default High School/Jr High Sporting Events

Recently I have been attending some public school games due to them playing our private school in some sports. What's the deal with having to preorder tickets because they don't take cash? I've walked up to a couple gates now only to have to get my phone and squint through some prompts to purchase tickets. Its pretty annoying as I don't even like taking my phone to the games so I can enjoy them. But I gotta carry it up to get scanned for admittance. And then there's the no bag or clear bag rules. Geez, feels like I'm walking into a prison. We're not talking about football games here. This is baseball/soccer games. Not much thuggery at those events. Ok, rant over.

Soccer is the only sport where the audience is, indeed, tougher than the players on the field.

Its all those violent video games and rap music.

That is much more respectable than boys soccer. If you traced it back, I'd imagine that's how this whole "trans" thing got started anyways.

Started from pandemic time, far as i can tell. (IMO they appreciated not dealing with cash or seperate funds after games, since often times softball and baseball would have games going simultaniously)

My rub is they charge you a 3% "convenience" to pay with the card. I hate having to pay to pay.

It started with Covid but they finally have accountability instead of a cash gate.

If they want to go no cash, at least have a credit card and/or Apple Pay reader.

Its just the way things are going. One of my businesses is no cash, and its amazing. No sticky fingers and much easier to do the accounting and reconciliation for. I'm actually surprised more businesses haven't gone no cash. My guess is you will see more and more as the older generation goes on to the other side.
