    Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

    Water can add a wild aspect. I have boated in and then swam a couple hundred yards to shoot them on The Mound several times. The hardest turkey I ever shot would not come off a 30yd X 4yd ridge across the river from y'all. I guarantee you heard him gobble, because that was all he did all day. He made the hens come to him. Once the hens were all bred and the water finally went down, he was the easiest kill I ever had. When I cleaned him he had a 00 buckshot and #4 lead in his legs. You people over there...

    Man, I haven’t been in that gate but maybe 5 times since I left for Clemson in ‘97. I have only been twice since the new clubhouse was built and that’s been easily 15 years. My pops is always down there catching fish of some ilk. I just don’t make it down there.
