Great stuff! Congratulations to you and your son. His smile says it all!
Best report of the Youth Season as far as I'm concerned! The smile says it all! If I were you I'd hit up Fowl Play Taxidermy down in Alabama and get on a waiting list if he's not taking birds right now. That's who I'm sending my cinnamon and Eurasion to whenever he starts accepting birds.
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL
Stud bird and a big ol' smile. Good stuff.
Look up Nate Mixson on FB. He's really good. Located in Walterboro

My little boy got real close a few times on Saturday, but couldn’t quite close the deal this year. He took his frustrations out on some cuffed-up coons with his .22 after the duck hunt though.

That’s awesome!
He won't remember a hell of a lot from his childhood, but I'd bet the farm he'll remember that.
Great job Dad.
Childhood wood ducks are a right of passage in this state.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
