    Default GM 10 speed

Good customer thats particular about maintenance decided to have his fluid changed in the trans at 64k miles. Sever duty is every 45k. I think 100-150k on regular.

I would change the fluid on any 8 or 10 speed every 60k on my professional opinion. Even the GM 6 speeds Id do at 60k

Do you ever disable tcc slip on the 6,8,10 speed transmissions? I think tcc slip is #3 right behind AFM and the trans thermostat.

Yes sir, typically on complaint basis. the TCC slip is typically noted on wide open throttle.

I didnt know GM used the slip strategy until I felt a shudder on mine, going uphills 45mph in 6gear. 2010 6.2 didnt come with AFM and before the implementation of the t-stat but they still gave it the 20rpm slip. A fluid change, transgo tcc valves, and tcc slip disable all at 148k miles fingers crossed its holding up.

I just hit 100k. Will schedule a time to bring mine to you. What else should I do at 100k? Diffs? Or are they even serviceable on newer trucks?

Yes. I know it as torque management and not TCC but the same. We take it all the way off on the “race” trucks and cars

Yes. Even with us seeing stuff everyday it seems we still learn the hard way.

    Transmission
    Transfer case fluid
    Front and rear diffs

The bottom two are the most over looked

There is torque management that pulls ignition timing and throttle but this is the Torque Converter lockup Clutch. Desired slip of 20rpm all the time. Factory GM converters (my experience is in the 6L80 and 6L90) are the weak link.

    Ahhh gotcha. Learned something.

Yes, the factory converters are coming apart and trashing the front pump.

Billet torque converters are your friend.

Gm does that for smooth transition in and out of AFM but as we all know anything related to AFM sucks. A billet converter clutch likes a binary lockup.
