    I went with the 3.0 on Kevin's advice after having problems with 5.3's. 70k later, not a single issue. Average 21-22mpg with 35x11.50's

    My experience as well. Had engine, transmission, electrical, and more problems to face. Best part of owning it has been not needing to come up with things to do on a day off.

    Can’t say much, the only GM I own is a 86.

    But I’ve had two 5.3s for work. They’ve been good, until the first went out with 140k. The second one is a nice truck but just waiting on the motor to go out.

    Coworker has 3.0 with 120k no issues
