That's one thing I never could get on board with. I like them steamed, raw, grilled, but fried never appealed to me.

Make mine a flounder or trout please.

Awesome. I’m looking forward to increasing my oyster intake over the next few months.

When I go to TX in January, we will eat Oysters at Breakfast in an omelette, at lunch on a PoBoy and as an appetizer for supper. One of the guys lives in Houston and brings a couple bushels up. They are Matagorda bay selects and are really good.

I love some fried oysters. I have had the gout a couple times and the doctor told me to not eat shell fish. LOL might as well not waste his breath on that one. I do take medicine daily and so far so good as long as i dont over do it.

Maybe I’ve just never had a good one?

They always come across as soggy and overly greasy when I’ve had them. They are delicious grilled or steamed so I’ve not wasted any time on batter and grease.

Stop eating processed sugar entirely and you can eat all the oysters, shrimp, whatever with no worry about that damned gout...
