Parts will likely be your biggest problem (and asset for selling them)

If it’s lasted this long run it until it dies. I know several people running them with zero issues. Parts will be available for a while, they are out there.

    Is it a FICHT?
If so, and you want an honest opinion.
It's probably the least reliable motor ever made. Nicknamed the Grenade by mechanics.
Sure someone will post saying they have one with no issues but they'd have a rare one
I believe in 2005 the "FICHT" was renamed "Direct Injection and had a few bugs worked out and was a better year.
Make sure you "index" the spark plugs. They eat spark plugs

Ficht was 1997-2002….BRP released the DI engines in 2004+.

Still same RAM high pressure fuel injector driver technology, When BRP took over, they wanted to get away from the FICHT stigma and renamed it.
They were much improved after 2003 and get stupid good gas mileage. If you have a good one, then you have a great motor.
The Direct Injection evolved into the ETEC which is a bad ass motor in my opinion.

I have one of the nicest SV2100 you will see, I have been thinking about selling it just out of boredom and for something different
but every time I use it and look at it, I change my mind.

Best 2-stroke motor ever made. I almost bought a pair of clean OX66 250hp last week for another project.
I have a 2022 Suzuki DF140 fly-by-wire with 44hrs on my SV2100, just added the custom t-top so my grandbabies will have shade.
Custom leaning post with tackle station, Ulterra TM, Power Pole, just added the Taco nav lights in the rubrail. Too many cool upgrades to list
