    Default An Off Thanksgiving

Off for more than one reasons.

The wife and I got a call on the 17th of this month that we need to get to the hospital. Her dad suffered a heart attack and ended up passing. We buried him two days before Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving day, we spent it with my side of the family. My grandmother is suffering from severe dementia and we all are aware this will probably be her last holiday season.

But there are still things to be thankful for even in the toughest times. All of our family and friends that were there for my wife in her sorrow. My family and wife for being able to gather on Thanksgiving.

And also two hunts that just did the heart good.

Carried a great friend and his son on another hunt. This is his second and is very rapidly getting hooked.

Then the following day, we went at it again and pulled another successful day off.

All together, a very emotional week but there’s always the good with the bad.

Hold your loved ones close the rest of this holiday season! I know I am!

Sorry to hear about your wife’s father, but glad to hear your weekend had a couple of great highlights.
