This just goes to show you you should never take anything for granted. He was only 36. He and his family are good people.

he was the project manager, he just got back from a meeting and just simply walked over to the trench to see how everything was going, he was on asphalt 6 feet away from the ditch box when the ground caved. His dad and my dad go WAY back, my dad called me crying this am. It has brought gloom into my forecast.

Makes me wanna get busy living.

Dook, prayers sent. My dad used to be the superintendent for the water dept in my home town, he's now public works director. Water work is way more dangerous than anyone would ever believe! I always had concerns when they would be working on big digs.

Oh man that's just sad. And a terrible way to die.

Prayers going up for the family.

Prayers sent. This sent chills down my spine when I heard about it. I lost a damn good friend the same way about 5 years ago in the same way at the intersection of Cleveland and Pleasantburg. Tripp was in a ditch I staked that was 16' deep. His dad was waiting on Tripp's results from his GC test so he could retire and give Tripp the business. A week after he was buried the letter came in the mail saying he had passed...
