Says they “were in the wrong place at the wrong time” and had a buddy in the truck with him who also happened to be armed. I don’t buy that at all… he is in a 900hp supercharged truck that does 0-60 in 4 seconds and he “couldn’t get away” from the guy in the Chevy. I don’t know if I see self defense holding out on this one…

At least that's what I got from the story.

There is no man I would shoot just because my wife chose to sleep with him. Ask me how I know. MG

    Damn

Story my Dad told me when I was a teenager that came from Mr Frogg Reames , Principal of Boys High in Anderson years ago. "Boys there was a dog crossing a railroad track and a train came along and cut the dogs tail off, well the dog turned around to see what happened and another train came by and cut the dogs head off . Boys the moral of this story is NEVER lose your head over a piece of tail"

    Pretty good advice

The guy who passed away is my 1st cousin, we grew up together and I was pallbearer at his funeral. A lot of whats been posted in this thread is false and/rumors. No one was married. There is a lot to the story (other guys) that doesn’t jive. One thing for certain is that Scott was followed for some time, and made several attempts to get out of the situation.

I got the husband lover angle from this thread. I am very sorry for your loss. The whole thing smells bad.

Doesn't sound random. If a guy in front of me waves a gun, I'm falling back out of sight.

I'm truly sorry for your loss SaltMuck.

Something about the original news report, along with the pics of the white truck following the black truck on the divided road (Hwy 9) where your cousin was holding the pistol out the truck window made me wonder why the white truck would continue to follow Scott after he turned off of Hwy 9 onto Camp Swamp Road. According to the news report, the shooting happened on 09/09/23 a "just before 6pm".

Something about the news report just didn't seem right to me so I was curious and I looked up the other guy's (Weldon Boyd) Facebook page and noticed a post that was dated 09/09/23 at 05:25pm. If the time stamp is correct, this was posted approximately 20 minutes before Scott was killed.
"Absolutely stunning, hand crafted, one of a kind engagement ring for sale. Designed this ring on paper myself and coles had it made. 97 total diamonds, 5.09 CT total, spec sheet below. Beautiful diamond....small inscription on the inside but the jeweler said it can be removed. Priced to sell, $11,000"
There was pics and a video of the ring in the post. The video showed someone's hand holding the ring. It appeared they were sitting in a vehicle with the noise of heavy trucks passing close by in the background.

So yeah, something doesn't add up in my opinion.

Once again, I'm very sorry for your loss. Out of respect for you and your family, this will be my last post on this thread.

Heck, I think even a good lawn guy would have recommended against that post.
