    Default Who?

Who exactly named Mount Pleasant? My folks named a lot of things around there, but there is absolutely nothing pleasant about that shithole...

Just for different reasons. Kids have soccer games over there. As if soccer wasn’t painful enough

My wife and I spent a long weekend there 25 years ago. When we left, I told her I was never coming back.

    And I haven't.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

It was nice when they named it. I dove hunted near where the Mark Clark cuts across now.

There are more people living north of the IOP connector than south of it. That used to be the boondocks.

I laid out those birms on those spoil cells coming over 526 right at Clouter creek, abet closer to Charleston, most every morning I day dreamed about having a shotgun.. I finger pointed the snap out of some ducks.

Mt Pleasant was a wonderful place decades ago. It was spread out, very few traffic lights, or traffic issues for that matter. Crime was nonexistent, and the vast majority of folks were locals.
I'm from West Ashley, and as a kid, going that way to the park or to see family was a full day adventure. Now, trying to get to my parents place over there has become a half day adventure. I hate that side of the bridge now. Because of the people who have taken it over. They suck.

but then you could put in at that public boat ramp or the IOP and not deal with people fishing, the last time I fished there was with you.. that's been 10 years. it was nightmare fuel after we left your dock for me.

You could say that for pretty-much anywhere down here.

Say what you want, but there is some talent to be seen over here.. When I worked nights a few of us would go do our reports the next morning at the Starbucks on Coleman just to site see.

I moved here in 2013. I wish I would have bought every house that I thought I couldn't afford at $350k.

I lived in the old village after I graduated HS. That was a good time. I do my level best to bypass it all now.

Most of my days at work are in Mt P.

I did enjoy the old Wild Wings and Boaters World. When I drive down Coleman these days I just say WTF the entire time.
