    Hey all,

I just came aboard and happy to be here! A little information on myself...

I live in Blythwood, SC moved here from Northern California 2 years ago and extremely happy and blessed!

I barely got out before they kept my azz...retired as a police officer and at 53 my wife got a outstanding job opportunity we couldn't resist!

We sold everything that wasn't nailed down...'74 Jeep CJ5, Bass boat, gun safes, power tools, furniture etc.

I could replace almost all of those except maybe '74 Jeep?

I've been duck hunting since I was 10, used to hunt in rice country and some great Mallard, Pintail and Speck country.

I now primarily Deer hunt and Turkey. Before I arrived in SC I heard the duck hunting was not great, but years ago was very good.

So, this year since we are settled, I'm looking forward to getting out a couple of times and hunting a few Woodies.

I look forward to talking and possibly meeting some of you guys. Reach out and maybe lunch and adult beverages would be great!

    Be well,

    Dave

It has a tang and spirit shared by no other sport—a philosophy compounded of sleet, the winnow of unseen wings, and the reeks of marsh mud and wet wool. No other sport has so many theories, legends, casehardened disciples and treasured memories.”

I am also a transplant from California. Hunted the Kern Refuge area when I was younger. We used to take a trip to Tule Lake / Klamath refuge every year. Unbelievable duck hunting. Sadly South Carolina is nothing like California for duck hunting. You'll find plenty of wood ducks and be done in 15 minutes. Good luck.

SC duck hunting is very productive for folks capable of killing ducks.

    The vast majority aren't capable.

    Welcome.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

Do the opposite of anything 2th says. You'll see what I mean tomorrow.

    Welcome, brother.

If you vote Democrat, move back to California.
