Congrats! I have a few buddies that do the same. I went into business for myself this year and it has been the best decision I have ever made. There’s lots of weekends and evening spent doing invoices, etc, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything

Big round of applause from here. I work for myself. Technically, I serve my clients, but I don’t have a boss. I don’t have an office. It is funny to me to hear folks asking about and planning for retirement as soon as possible. I think I will work until I die. Now, I may not stress as much later in life about some day to day things, but lol I’m darn sure not counting the days to retirement. What a blessing for you, and for your family.

Life is short so find something your like to do or dont mind working at and go from there, just make sure you can make a living at whatever you decide. Not get rich but pay the bills, raise your family, and have something left over for the wants in life. Worked for a company for 27 years that went belly up after 75 years n business. Started my own company the next day and never looked back. Yeah i went without a pay check for several months but it all worked out. That was 22 years ago. Now i am not in debt and could turn the lights out and go home any day I CHOOSE. I am still obligated to my employees so I would never leave them hanging by walking out. Still a good feeling to know you could.
