    Default Old Auto 5’s

Thought I’’d post these 2 A5’s I’ve restored for my son and myself. First is a Jap Magnum Twelve, completely torn down and replaced all components and cerakoted in Midnight Bronze. The second is a Belgian Magnum with the same work, added synthetics to it.

    Nice.

I have a few. My FIL gave me his like new, low round count Belgium Light 12 recently. Cleaned it up and its a safe queen for now. Great shotguns. Sentimental favorite has to be my Dad's Sweet Sixteen.

You just cost me some money!

I think I may do a trio of something similar for me and my 2 boys!

    Who did your cerakote?

Yours look outstanding! Great job Dad

I’ve got a bunch of them my dad collected over the years. Belgians mostly, one or two Miroku’s. About as reliable a gun as there’s ever been built.

The first one looks great, Tupperware on the old humpback just doesn’t seem right. To each their own though. He’ll be handing to down to his grandson before it needs reworking.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I’m not advertising but I did all of the work myself. I was questioning myself step by step on taking a classic blued gun and cerakoting it. These gun are hunted and the bluing was far from perfect which made the choice easier. I have my dads old light 12 that I’m going to do a full re-blue on as well.

Totally get it, I have a brand new old stock set of stocks I bought for the Belgian but I can bring myself to hunt them.

That's some fine work, especially on the cerakote.

Beautiful gun with the wood furniture.
The one with synthetic furniture is a perfect choice for dog hunting IMO.
Nice work on both of them.

Thanks, and that’s exactly what they are used for
