So he put it in some automatic mode, ejects, plane keeps flying, and gets lost.

Why did he punch out if the plane was obviously able to fly?

How in the world do we loose a 135million dollar air craft?

Why is sled flying around rather than the 4 apaches that regularly buzz my house, I'm fairly sure they have much better capabilities of tracking a big hunk of metal.

Someone is gonna be fishing this week with one of those new front sonars, and I can only imagine what comes out of their mouth.
    Yup, he's crazy...

At least we know it wasn't my son-in-law that lost it. He's still at Corpus Christi in flight school.

There has to be more to this story. Pilots, especially Marine pilots dont eject out of flyable jets. It is being called a "mishap", I will wait for the rest of the story

I’m pretty sure this stump is going to have a whole lot more red tape to get it moved. You tried hard, I’ll give you that. It must have been those from Santee that made this jet go down to save the lake.

Rest assured they will go get it, it will only cause red tape for us. I recall when a certain chopper went down on the Big Pee Dee. That was years ago. They knew exactly where it was, back then. There is was how to get to it. They got it out!

Good lord they have on Drudge that the plane may be flying in Zombie mode. Has a tanker come by and fueled it up or something?

Oh I know that ol Uncle Sam won’t leave all that technology in a jet for the Chinese to find. No matter the location, they will get it back. Just making a joke about a stump he wouldn’t be allowed to touch and conspiracy the locals made it happen to save the lake.

Some where around 10 am the hydro plant is going to come to a crashing halt as the inlet pumps will all get stuck at once. What happened? Oh just a F35 is clogging the inlets.

I rode down to Watermark yesterday afternoon. This truck pulled up and parked for a few minutes. About 30 minutes later when I headed home, he was parked at the fire station with the most volunteers firemen I'd seen there since the floods and a few Berkeley County deputies. They sent one of the rescue boats out and had 4 others hooked up ready to go.
    All quiet there this morning.

He didn’t eject himself, the plane did it.

Not for nothing, the F35's were circling Charleston on Saturday afternoon with two black F5's (they fly as aggressors against military jets in training) in formation. Not in the pattern but circling around the peninsula. I pointed out to my partner that it was strange to see the circling but it must be a photo session. Either way, fighter jets circling downtown Charleston seemed unnecessary on a Saturday. On the other hand, those on the Carnival ship got a great show from them as they circled. MG
